Vision for 2012
Reconciliation Outreach is back to its roots and we are excited!
Reconciliation Outreach comes from humble beginnings. We began simply, with teams from different churches reaching out to families in the inner city through fun, family oriented activities, and Christian music! The food was both physical and spiritual as the ‘Good News” was shared and received.
The kids loved it and their parents enjoyed a safe place for their children as we all fellowshipped together. Oftentimes, it seemed more like a big family picnic than a crusade, but many who came were prayed for and the Holy Spirit began to work in their lives just as He had been doing in our own.
As the years passed, we became a team working together to help change a neighborhood through the love of Christ.
2012 will be a year when RO begins again to do exactly what we do best- reaching out to the community to share Christ’s love- and we need your organization, your church, your home group or even just you to make that possible.
Beginning in January, we will be hosting monthly community outreaches in the poor neighborhoods surrounding Reconciliation Outreach. We want these events to be simple, open, and inviting. Sports, games, or even just a bunch of soccer balls and some food and music will give us a place to start reaching out the community and building lasting relationships.
We welcome your ideas and your talents. We want to open the door for you to use what God has given you to bless others. Are construction projects or craft projects your thing? We need you. Do you love sports, drama, or dancing? Come show us how it’s done. Or maybe you are an expert chef or cupcake maker? Why don’t you host a meal or party for the men and women in our program or our staff?
We want to get to know you better and we want to see you in action- doing what you do best!
Reconciliation Outreach was birthed and still runs on the love of Christ for us and for one another. Come on over and join the fun!
